Praise the Great Pumpkin for Fire Records and the work they’ve done with this band.
I need to track down their first 3 albums and I’m eagerly awaiting Ray, Come On Feel and maybe Car Button Cloth
Tubby Hayes Quartet - Tubby's Groove (Tempo Records, 1960 First Mono Pressing)
Such a killer session. I recently learnt that these Tempo releases are sought after because in the 1970's they destroyed all of the masters to make room. Such a tragedy.
Just finished this one. Very solid release from Here Lies Man. Test Presses are long gone but Easy Rider Recs still have a small # of the most limited colored variant with an extra 45 for preorder left.
It's not Halloween if I'm not spinning the greatest punk EP ever made! Featuring a fantastic cover of Misfits' Halloween, and the mosh pit classic Totalimmortal! Newbury Comics exclusive blue marble press, limited to 500 copies

Richard Hawley - Live at the Devil's Arse 2008
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan - Live at WOMAD 1985
God, I miss live music. There was a time, pre kids, when I'd go to 4-5 gigs a week. It was a great way to meet mates and listen to music at the same time. I sadly never saw Nusrat but this is one of his first concerts in the west and it's just entrancing. I have seen Richard Hawley a few times and love him and his sense of humour. A cave called the Devil's Arse seems the perfect place for him to play and this is a great gig (I've got a second set from there a decade later too). Hope it's not too long until we can all have such fabulous communal experiences again.
