What's Spinning

Why two tables? One set up for mono?
So............

I don't usually get rid of gear, so as I upgraded and swapped things I ended up with all the components for a second system minus a turntable. In that time I found that I have an addition, no, not vinyl, phono cartridges. So I picked up the second deck, who's biggest check box was a detachable head shell, and the rest is history............I do have a mono cart for it as well ;)

I love the Albini mix but I was too slow to jump on the 45 standard mix and it seems to have evaporated now. Hoping something nice appears in a couple of years for 30. OMFG 30...
Almost 30 is definitely nuts. 1993 is the first year I remember being conscious of actual albums, too This, Siamese Dream, and Doggystyle. Then, 94 was when I really started getting interested in full albums/buying CDs.

We must be around the same age because that was the same for me. I have a handful of CDs and Cassette tapes prior but in 1993, I entered middle school and it was when my musical taste first began developing.

Yep! I was 8 in 93 (soon to be 36 now). My daughter is 6 now, and she’s definitely interested in certain songs and artists, but she definitely doesn’t understand the concept of an album at this point. It will be interesting to see if/when she starts getting interested - if it’s an age or an album that hooks her or what. Things are somewhat different in the music world than they were in 93, but honestly not all that different.
