What's Spinning

Hey, @Selaws, you still working your way through your tape collection? Haven't seen any for a while...
I am yes but as work picks up I have been listening to them less. The idea was to fill out a word doc with each 'title', tracklist and where/when it was recorded, along with any other info I can squeeze out. When I wasn't as busy with work I could spare the time to fill it out, but as work picks up I have less time to put aside.

So far I am on cassette No 119 with 37 pages filled out. They are a mix of live amateur recordings and some live performances taken from old radio shows. Really great mix and there's some big named ones that I am yet to even tackle. You have inspired me to tackle some more this evening so I will share some here later.

George Lewis And His New Orleans Stompers - S/T (Blue Note, 1958 Signed Pressing)

Now for something different. I'm going to watch Ma Rainey's Black Bottom later and while I don't have any of her music, I do have albums that covered her compositions, including this one. Picked this up dirt cheap a while ago and turns out that it's signed by the musicians, which is a nice touch.
