From what I understand Jeff was high maintenance from a professional and personal standpoint and that was the big factor in The Crowes cutting him loose but it sure was amusing watching him and Johnny Colt drink a bottle of Jack Daniels during their live set every night.

Duke Ellington, Charles Mingus, Max Roach - Money Jungle

I guess Mingus is a lot more interesting to me as a composer than a player, so his work here appeals to me less, but it’s still such a solid listen.
