And the second jazz birthday is Charlie Rouse! This album is my favourite by him and perhaps up there as one of my favourite jazz albums period, its certainly one which I see as flying under the radar.

Dug out this first part of 2 part cassettes of a live recording of Freddie Hubbard at Ronnie Scotts. The funny thing about this one is that the people recording it are chatting in between tracks about what they had just heard. Its like being a fly on the wall of people having their minds blown!
