Continuing the Ellington theme, I bought this record SEALED at the weekend for £1 at our local carboot. Crazy that it lasted 61 years without being opened. Sounds fantastic as well so that's always a bonus

Yeah, I had this one but ended up upgrading to the 2008 pressing, it has the OG album art on mirror board, it’s cut by Kevin Gray and pressed by RTI on 180g wax. Worth picking up if you can find one for a reasonable price.

Whoa! Very jealous. I like the first album better, but have long lamented the absence of those albums from my vinyl collection.

Yeah I wish I had Nighttiming as well. Prices on these just keep getting more and more out of reach. The sound on Davy is incredible especially considering its a picture disc...cut at 45rpm must help. I'm not sure we'll see any reissues in awhile, but hopefully! I remember just trying to find the cds back then was difficult.
