Currently giving Raw Honey by Drugdealer a spin. This album pleasantly surprised me, had a tough time choosing between this and Wooh Dang as a swap last month but the song “The Day That’s Just Begun” ruined Wooh Dang for me. I knew it would stop me from getting all the way through it on a listen

A fantastic jazz record. Its up there as one of my favourites from Superfly. There's some great french spoken word at some parts, although I dont know what's being said but I believe the liner notes state its a poem. Love it.

Edit: Also when my niece was born I wanted to share photos with my friends but didn’t want them open for the whole public to see!

I saw Neil last night in Portland, solo and acoustic. Sadly, I hadn't seen him live since the epic show in the rain with Crazy Horse, in the Gorge (WA state) ages ago. He was in vintage form last night, an absolute master of his craft. We were standing outside the venue when he bus rolled away, and there was Neil with a big shit-eating grin, waving out the window.

I listened to this for the first time yesterday and it blew me away. Best hip-hop album of the year for me by a long shot. His lyrics are so meaningful and just flow amazingly well. I challenge anyone to listen to 'Black' and 'Lesley' and not be impressed.
