After using the VinylFlat four times on my copy that arrived with a pair of 1/2" warps (VMP exclusive, go figure), I have now flattened it successfully to be in an acceptable, playable state! A worthwhile investment for those on the fence.

The second copy I got wasn’t too bad (30 sec of noise on side A only) so probably worth trying for a good one (at the very least trying to help convince them it’s a widespread problem). It sounds to me like they somehow got heat damage.
