This album being the pinnacle of VMPs original mission statement - music discovery though story… maybe we should have seen the writing on the wall.
Hell yeah - I'll play.
Excellent band. Their first album (the one before this) is probably my most listened to album of the last 2 years. The Bright Light Social Hour - Space Is Still The Place
Fantastic choice for ROTM, really enjoying it. Finally getting to playing it.

Hell yeah - I'll play.
First - my favorite Big Country song...
Thanks for everything Stuart. Hope you're at peace.
The last time I saw The Cult live, Mark Brzezicki showed up out of nowhere (I mean, this was in Charlotte, NC) and played drums on "She Sells Sanctuary". After the show we went to a nearby bar/food joint and unknowingly sat down next to Jamie Watson (Bruce's kid) and his girlfriend. Seems the current incarnation of Big Country with Mike Peters of The Alarm had played the night before nearby. Jamie was fun to talk to. We tried to convince them to go with us to The World Famous Milestone (link below - a truly historic venue) for a late night gig but it didn't materialize. Either way, was super-cool to see Mark play that song live.
