What's Spinning

Last record in the queue - didn't really feel like playing this one in the last month. Don't know the band at all - didn't really get into any samples. Probably should have swapped with anything else.

Shamek Farrah - First Impressions

This gets fairly overlooked in the field of 70s jazz reissues but it’s a beautiful album that’s a gem from the Strata-East label. Personally this is one of those reissues where I’m not pining for an OG copy - it just sounds that good.

Kate Bush - Never For Ever

Finding myself gravitating towards this album, not just for ‘Babooshka’ but the way she handles her prog-rock roots with plenty of classic pop songwriting and new studio technology. To some it hasn’t aged well but the synth flourishes in this add so much character. This is also the perfect album to ease into her work for the rest of the 80s.
