What's Spinning

Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band
Live Bullet

Little back and forth on the two tables. PLX/Nag500 combo holds its own. Not as quiet, but feels alive.

It’s way early, but the bass on the PrecisionDeck seems different than I remember it being on my old UD/UT combo. Deeper and more taught. Not sure if it’s the MT or the ridic wood plinth or my different phono stage. But it’s nice and definitely a little different than the PLX.

This is fun stuff. 3EC8952B-652B-438E-BB12-48D9975EAD04.jpeg

I feel like I may have ordered this and forgotten about it... I did just get a Fed Ex notice that I have no idea what it is.. hmmm...
I try to put all of my order conf emails into a folder so I can easily check if I ordered something, but sometimes forget to do so. I really do need to keep a spreadsheet and update it as soon as I order something new. This was pre-ordered in March of last year.

With the new NAD setup, I’m discovering that this pressing has thunderous bass. I’ve heard multiple pressings over the last 45 or so years, and have never heard it sound like this.

I also recently learned the track “Cans and Brahms” is a reinterpretation of the main theme of Brahm’s 4th Symphony.

This brings me back to high school, and so many great memories. And, no, I wasn't in HS when it was released, I was barely in preschool.
