What's Spinning

It's the first day of spring

Arguably the best triple bill I ever saw was Alice In Chains / Screaming Trees / Gruntruck in a small club that held maybe 800.

Layne was on crutches at the time and stood out in the crowd with us to watch the openers. The Connor brothers stood behind me during AIC set and gladly lifted girls onto the rail for a better view.

The communal vibe of these early 90s shows top shelf. Didn't get a recording of Gruntruck but was able to roll tape for AIC and ST.

RIP Ben McMillan. Thanks for everything. You deserved more.

I suspect @jamieanderson1968 may have seen this tour.

I think I saw ST with Gruntruck but not the triple bill. I think that AIC was worried about coming into Canada at the time. I saw various iterations of these guys at different Vancouver shows. I think a lot of the times bigger acts would grab a Seattle band to come up to Vancouver play. I saw Soundgarden so many times in late 80s. One of the best was Soundgarden opening for Skin Yard.
