My first spin.
Robin Trower - Go My Way
This is an awesome bluesy Trower record. Should have got it years ago. The best I have heard since "For Earth Below".
It's disappointing. One, it's a noisy pressing. And two, it's an extremely quiet pressing. A good volume on my amp for listening is typically -32 db. I'm playing Maggot Brain at -15 db.
A-Z 85 - Blessed Feathers - There Will Be No Sad Tomorrow
Kind of glad VMP took a risk on this, even if it’s an album I don’t hugely love (it’s good in spots, and is definitely of its type). I liked VMP more when it was taking chances like this, rather than playing safe.
Marvin Gaye - What's Going On (50th Anniversary Reissue)
I'll just echo what everyone is saying about how great this album sounds. It definitely needed a clean before spinning - I don't think I've ever seen that much paper/dirt on a new record. But once I cleaned it it just sounds sublime.
