A-Z 99 - Blur - The Magic Whip



Not enough non-Japanese albums have obis. Think this album will age well.

The end of my Blur adventure. My wife’s favourite band, and one I love. We’ve had the pleasure of seeking them live twice, and they were great, especially at Hyde Park during the Olympics.

Your ranking is pretty much spot on, although I think I would put 13, The Great Escape ahead of Leisure. Think Tank is the only one I never go back to, though, and if not for that one, it’s a pretty impeccable run.

I know my view on Leisure is a pretty personal one. It doesn't get a lot of love, even with the band, but I love it. Before I did this I had it at number 2in my head, so I'm actually surprised I had it a bit lower. Agree that Think Tank is the only iffy one though, even my wife said "it's a bit shit" and she's a Blur obsessive!
