It’s a fantastic album, and Pure Pleasure really did a wonderful job with this reissue. Along with Woody Shaw, Charles Tolliver is a trumpeter I’ve been grabbing records by whenever I see them — and fortunately, most of Tolliver’s Strata-East output has been reissued over the last few years.

The one PP I have sounds great and somehow managed to survive coming overseas and getting thrashed. Ended up costing me nothing.
