The Dick Morrissey Quartet - It's Morrissey, Man! (Fontana, 1961 First Mono Pressing)
Today would have been Dick Morrissey's birthday so im playing a couple by him. He was a prominent saxophonist in the wake of Tubby Hayes' seemingly domination of the UK jazz scene, so fans of his playing will likely enjoy Morrissey's playing (stick to his early work!).
Found this and John Coltrane's Blue World in a bin at Big Lots yesterday for $14 each. This is the 2019 pressing that has a couple eh reviews on Discogs. I almost passed but decided I'd give it a shot anyway. It sounds pretty damn good to me after a quick clean. Not to mention every song is an absolute jam.
