My folks took me to the Sugar Bowl in ‘64 and ‘65 at Tulane Stadium. We saw Al Hirt and Pete Fountain play at some famous club on Bourbon St. It was cool even though the Beatles and Stones were the only thing on my musical radar at the time.

I saw Stevie once, as the support act for Huey Lewis and the News. I had no idea who he was at the time (Aug 1984 - I was 17) but I really enjoyed his set and learned.
