Yes to both. Big Andy Shauf fan, and picked this up from Plaidroom when it was released. For some crazy reason though, I haven't listened to it yet. I really wish he/his label would include a download with his records. At any rate, thanks for the reminder! I've got to cue it up. I've heard it differs from his previous forms of storytelling, so I'm looking forward to seeing how that will work.

i've tried to preorder less new music before I hear it, so held out on getting the vinyl for this one. but have been streaming it on Qobuz non-stop since it came out so I grabbed the vinyl today. i really enjoy it.

it's not all that different musically to me--it very much sounds like an Andy Shauf album--you'll get your fill of clarinets haha. But a very solid album again from him.
