Had the great pleasure of seeing the band’s tenth show on their comeback tour at Boulder’s Coast in 1988 working out the songs that went into this album. Craig Fuller and Fred Tackett did a fairly good job of filling Lowell George’s not so little shoes. I aerobicized for three straight hours. This recording rocks.

How's the sound on this one?

In terms of Sun Ra recordings, it's quite good. There are lots of complaints about the pressing on 'cogs, and I think mine's got a scritchy bit or two that aren't in the digital but I haven't checked back yet. All in all, though, I'm very happy with it. I certainly have some Sun Ra stuff that sounds better but I also have lots that sound much worse. The set itself is lovely.
