What's your opinion of this record? Haven't heard much about it but I'm curious.

I thought it was great. The recording is very solid. It'll probably get more play from me than the studio version (but I'm sure I'm an anomaly there). I got it in the prime day warehouse sale.

You guys have lightning bugs in Tacoma? I haven't seen one since I moved to Oregon.


Catching lightning bugs and crushing cicadas skins on trees was all part of my youth in the summer.

Unfortunately no, lightening bugs, the sound of cicadas, and thunderstorms are about the only things I miss from my summers growing up in Central IL

I'm with you on that. But I do like the lightning bugs we get down here. When my wife and I were dating we went on a walk one night and there were tons of them everywhere. She later told me that was the night she knew she was in love with me. So now I like lightning bugs a little more than I used to

Yeah, they just sounded like summer to me. The rhythmic songs of cicadas at dusk has always been a comforting sound.
