What's Spinning

While I prefer the stereo version for its fun imaging, the power and slam of this first pressing mono just grabs ya. Jack was on a mission and he and Jorma, on Spare Change, lay out the template that would guide their 50 year run as Hot Tuna. IMG_2670.jpeg

One of the two most dynamic records in my collection. Will raise you out of your chair, stupor or whatever, guaranteed. Acoustic instruments fantastically put to tape by Marc Aubert and mastered by Robert Ludwig. Perfect on this hot July evening. Modern Classical greatness that will test your cartridge and alignment. When it’s right? Bliss!
BOOM!

pearl jam - atlanta 94

glad to have this show on vinyl, finally- this performance is what set me down the path from a casual listener to a big fan. a friend loaned me his set of dissident import cd singles way back when and i copied the live tracks from this show to a cassette that i then listened to incessantly. if i had to pick the definitive pearl jam show, it would be this one.
Is that the radio session one? Think it was streamed live on Radio 1 in the UK and a few other places
