Beautiful orchestral-twined art rock album from the legendary System of a Down frontman. I already gave my review on the packaging of this new MOV reissue over in the Fresh Grabs thread. Sound quality wise, it's definitely a step above the OG press. Not a massive difference, but noticeable nevertheless. Probably because this one's not pressed at GZ! Highly recommend picking this one up!
I'll never get over how incredible this record sounds. It sounds like being at a Styx concert from the era. Buy these SuperDisc pressings if you can, the sound quality is stunning. Can't believe I got this factory sealed for only $20.
One of the best records of 2017 - this one, courtesy of my buddy Alejandro Escovedo.
The live shows supporting this record were insane. If your backing band includes Peter Buck, Kurt Bloch and Scott McCaughey, you are respected in many places and you're gonna melt some faces. Kurt Bloch's playing on this record - Jesus.
Lee Morgan - Introducing Lee Morgan (Savoy Records, 1956 First Mono pressing)
I cant emphasise this enough......Lee Morgan was 17 at the time of recording this......17. Its a fantastic album, really great music.
There's on deep looking scratch on one side of this (not long thankfully) which I was concerned about. Somehow then it reaches the scratch theres just one pop and thats it. Incredible! I've always though my turntable was quite forgiving when it comes to scratches, but maybe the Savoy records are just made of decent stuff (similar to the Blue Notes!)
So far so good. Somehow the packaging made it halfway around the world with the contents undamaged. Pressing is dead quiet on side one. Sounds kind of edgy and atmospheric with solid bass lines. Intense.

Nonesuch reissue (RSD 2015)
Added this one to the stack after seeing @dhodo play the OG version a few days ago. This is a re-recording done for Nonesuch in the mid-90s, accentuated with the most generic album art imaginable. Sounds really good though - Chris Bellman cut pressed at Pallas.
