Camarón - La Leyenda del Tiempo
Philips - Spanish reissue (2019)
I hope @agutierrezb is out there somewhere doing well. I still have his lyric translation booklet that he made with the beautiful line drawings on each page.
This album should be a lot bigger than it is. Unfairly classed as Sweden’s Quicksand by many as it’s also 90’s alt-metal with the bass high in the mix, but it has a different feel. If you’re into that kind of stuff, I’d give it a go.
Off the Shelf #132
David Bowie - The Man Who Sold the World
When I saw Bowie (Inside Out Tour)… it was with my first wife, she was pregnant with my oldest… I guess it hadn’t sold out. We were at Walnut Creek sitting towards the back of the pavilion. About halfway through the show, a staff member approached us and gave us armbands to go up to the front. As we walked into the front row, he started the title song. I melted. That was one of most memorable and favorite shows.
Edit: another random memory. Type o Negative opened. Nine In Nails was next and then Bowie. We got there during the midway point of Type O Negative’s set. I remember thinking that NIN sounded like shit. I was very relieved when it wasn’t Trent and the boys. (I saw Type O open up for Pantera and they weren’t any better then either)
