I was completely unaware with this band until Matador announced this anniversary reissue. The guitars are spectacular on this one. It takes a minute or two for them to kick in on the first track but once they do, I understood why this needed a reissue but also questioned why they weren’t a bigger deal in their time.Definitely one of my top 10 albums of the 90s
Their second Matador record, Lamprey, is also really good. Hell all of their stuff is great, though very hard to find, even on cdI was completely unaware with this band until Matador announced this anniversary reissue. Same. It’s right there with Loveless and Siamese Dream for me when it comes to guitar-driven 90s albums.Definitely one of my top 10 albums of the 90s
The 50th was by far the shittiest record I’ve ever purchased- it failed in ever way a record can fail (shitty mastering, warped, no fill, scribble scratches) - impressively bad, really.
Ha, yeah the Discogs comments for that one look pretty similarDamn.
That was the recent Cymande reissue for me.
