not exactly an audiophile recording (or setup), but i do not think this is kevin gray's finest work. mastering sounds kinda flat unfortunately.

one of my favorite albums, these sounds still astonish me after 20 years of listening. splurged on this copy during quarantine from mono records, my favorite shop from my LA days.
dude gets amazing product and his prices are low, but he’s also pretty charitable in his condition assessments. this was billed as vg but has a nasty skip and mega crackle, not helped by the mystifyingly quiet mastering on side 1.
glad to own it nevertheless. but it’s depressing to think that this brilliant record has never, to my knowledge, enjoyed the kind of pressing it deserves.
