A Midwest hidden treasure. From my home town of Oklahoma City. They were part of that Midwest scene up in Kansas through Chicago. They played with many bands and were known for being a popular local opener. They have that guitar driven sound that bands such as Shiner, Dirt Nap, Jazz June, Molly Mcguire, Giants Chair, Panel Door, Vitreous Humor, Boys Life, Braid and Fugazi had. You could call it Emo / Post-Hardcore whatever, but it's all about the musicians playing and it's truly wonderful.
This is their debut album from 1999 even though they were playing years before it came out. This was right on the cusp of the 2000's and it feels like a time capsule of when the scene blossomed into a bigger spotlight. The few albums from back then that come to mind are The Medicine by Jazz June, Bleed American by Jimmy Eat world, and The Argument by Fugazi which came at the start of the new millennium.
What a time it was...
