Eels - Time

This is my favorite thing Mark has put out in a minute. It's absolutely a mood, but transports me right back to seeing him play to a room of about 50 of us. It's an intimate album that doesn't tread new ground, but showcases a mature musician who can put out exactly what he wants. And A+ for this pressing, great clarity that puts his vocals front and center. I'm so over bands burying vocals in their mix, and you can't with his voice, so I'm happy even as the music hits in a not so happy spot.
