What's Spinning

That’s the tour with the crazy ass concert film?

There is an entire pro-shot show from that 1986 tour - that's where the Like A Hurricane clip I attached came from - but it was never officially released. It made its way around the trading community in the late 80's. I've got a copy on VHS. The whole show used to be up on YouTube but I couldn't find it.

You're probably thinking of Rust Never Sleeps, a concert film of the surreal 1978 tour...

There was one on NYA I watched where they were in a big ole garage stage and there were all kinds of antics happening with a television announcer and what not. (Definitely not confusing it with Rust Never Sleeps which I have on DVD and have watched a bunch.)

I just watched the clip, yeah, I think that’s the one.

Andrew Gabbard - Ramble & Rave On!

Since you’re around @Yer Ol' Uncle D , have you ever listened to this cat or his brother? I think you’d dig their crazy psychedelic rock soul concoction.

I have a history with the Gabbard Brothers.

Started here...

Thee Shams - Please Yourself

And continued with Buffalo Killers after that...

A fine pair of young men.

That's definitely it. God, I wish that film would get an official release. It's so much fun - Neil's mom checking on the funny smell coming from the garage, dogs barking on and off, a call from the angry neighbor (Sam Kinison) about the noise, robotic cockroaches - and the music is just blistering.

Bought this German pressing new when it came out in ‘93. Played it a few times and forgot all about it. Revisiting it today for the first time in over 30 years. It’s m-m- and I’m happy to see the prices on cogs. 😳 The most expensive copy there is $750US and the Canadian seller’s name is murderhouse. Mather?IMG_3877.jpeg
