What's Spinning

Øresund Space Collective - Carnival in Portugal

This was gift from Santa @duke86fan and I'm loving it. I'm also really happy that a couple others on here have been checking these guys out since I posted about this on the Santa thread. This is my first time listening to this recording and as I've come to expect from the band, it is some top notch Space Rock jam out tunes. I would kill to have these guys go on tour with and open for KGLW. Add Acid Mothers Temple to the mix and it would be a full on freak out session. As much as I do love the Dead and other traditional jam bands, I really dig that there are other bands in other styles who are embracing the live jam session style. Nothing is more electrify to me at a show than when a band can take their studio work and turn it into a unique piece of art with each performance. Getting lost on the sonic highway is one of life's greatest pleasures. Thanks again for the ticket to ride on this one, @duke86fan!

How is it? I have an OG that’s in good shape but it’s an awesome record and was tempted to pick it up on Black Friday.
It’s pretty decent. Matt Lutthans cut it. Seems a little bass shy, but nice separation etc. Pressed at Citizens so not perfect but pretty quiet and flat. The labels are weird. You know how Sundazed usually does mock ups of the original labels with Sundazed replacing the original company in whatever company’s logo? This one has track listing from the master tape boxes. Just an odd thing to do. Reminds me of the Johnny Cash Bootlegs Series CDs.
