What did you think about the album? I'm curious to see how someone else's perspective can be when we listen to music that is not our native language and may not fully grasp(not saying it's your case, just in general). Like I hear some songs in french and while I may not understand what they are saying, the feeling I get I can decide if I vibe with it or not. I think that's one of the beautiful things when songs are well made.

Oh yes. They played at the Munch museum here last year. I probably prefer JBL's compositions but it's a fine group

I definitely prefer JBL's own stuff, but this is quite nice. Really looking forward to Apple Cores in a little over a week!

My brain always focuses on music over lyrics, so it doesn't feel like that much of a stretch. I definitely miss a lot of context, I think; songs feel like variations of song styles from the area, and I'll be missing things like that which would be obvious to a local. I'm interested in reading the booklet - might see if I can find a translation somewhere.

So happy to finally have a couple of theirs on wax. For anyone who isn't familiar, they're like if an Elephant Six band incorporated hard psych and metal into their sound. This album is an especially great one to start with.
