The Doors - Morrison Hotel

My apologies to the Doors, they made three essential albums. Holy shit this sounds good.

Morrison Hotel almost always fails to get mentioned when talking The Doors and that's a shame. It stands toe to toe with their best. It's based in the blues but also has some of Jim's most heartfelt love songs in there - Blue Sunday, Indian Summer, The Spy - gorgeous stuff bookended by the grit of Roadhouse Blues and Maggie McGill. Perfect sequencing on this one.
