What's Spinning

I don't have too many, just nine until mid-May. A few fringe others that are interesting. Haven't gone to one in all of February.

[Mar 19] Chihei Hatakeyama (畠山地平)
[Mar 21] Astrid Sonne
[Mar 30] Kelly Lee Owens
[Apr 20] Ichiko Aoba (青葉市子)
[Apr 23] Deafheaven, Gatecreeper, Trauma Ray
[Apr 24] Andrew Pekler, Jan Jelinek, Patricia Wolf
[Apr 29] clipping.
[Apr 30] Circuit des Yeux
[May 12] The Weather Station
That's a nice list! I wouldn't mind hitting a couple of those too, but should probably relax on it. They just keep announcing shows. I'll add FJM and possibly Neil Young.

Been trying to figure out which Sonic Youth music video is my favorite. I'm really starting to enjoy Dirty Boots the most because it's just a perfect time capsule for me...

Also flannel kid is exactly how I looked back in junior high. Embarrassingly so lol. I was called Hanson so much ugh

Yeah, it’s a great time capsule. I love that the girl is wearing a Nirvana Shirt which, at the time of the videos release, would’ve been an excellent choice as “Smells Like Teen Spirit” wouldn’t drop until 5 months later.

In thinking about Sonic Youth music videos, a lot of them have notable guest appearances, this one only had the Nirvana T-Shirt.

The “Kool Thing” understandably featured Chuck D.

“100%” starred Jason Lee, who was a pro skater at the time. Prior to him becoming a comedic actor in Mallrats and My Name Is Earl.

“Sugar Kane” featured actress Chloë Stevens Sevigny in her fist filmed role

“Bulls In The Heather” has Kathleen Hanna bopping around having the most fun.

“Sunday” stars Macaulay Culkin who was no stranger to Music videos after have a big role in Michael Jackson’s blockbuster music video for “Black & White” , Mac would later go on to feature prominently in a Father John Misty video for “Total Entertainment Forever” where he portrays Kurt Cobain.
