I met Umar back in the late 90's in cinematography class...and didn't know that he already knew my brother at the time. He was in the group of friends that played in the bars around Carbondale (Southern Illinois University) during this time frame.
He's more known now for his artwork and goes by the name of Frohawk Two Feathers. He also has the names of Hi-Fidel and Kent Cyclone.
He recently posted on Facebook that Don Lemon has one of his paintings hanging in his living room - and he did the cover art for the super expensive 2Pac - Me Against The World.
I don't know or think I ever met DJ Crucial...but maybe I did. There was a lot of beer and other things in my life during this 4+ year period.
He posted a bit ago this was getting a reissue, so I had to get it. A bit expensive, but not $2500 expensive.

Well...she didn't win. I hear Mikey Madison was pretty good...maybe I'll watch that movie someday. I was hoping some horror adjacent movies would start winning some of the bigger awards.
