Just as good as the first time I listened to it! Makaya is performing at a few events in the upcoming weeks as part of the London Jazz Festival. I have just got tickets to see him perform with Rosie Turton, a fantastically talented trombone player.

Just returned from the cinema where I saw Once Were Brothers, the story of the Band based on Robbie Robertson's memoir, Testimony. Truly beautiful and reminded me about what was so special about this band, what happened when all five got in a room together. I think this is one of the greatest pieces of music ever recorded.

Just finished spinning it this morning for jazz Sunday. Mine sounds great. Nice pressing. Great reissue/repress. Bandcamp still shows 80 of the limited version left as I type this. Highly recommended.
