What's Spinning

1980 WB pressing. Did a road trip back in the day to ‘big city’ record store. To our surprise they were closing out their vinyl. Bins and bins of new vinyl for $2 a pop. If I only would have had stacks of $$$s to match. Left with empty pockets. This was one of the recs I got. I always thought it was a bit underrated in Van’s expansive catalog. It never falls to please.

Lindsey Stirling - Shatter Me (2014, reissue 2020)

So glad this finally got repressed! The older presses became quite expensive. This neon pink is so bright, it literally hurts my eyes to look at for too long. Still cool! 45 RPM 2LP, sounds incredible! #708/2500 here. Grab it while you can, fantastic record!

One of my wife’s friends is unloading her collection... this is from the first stack I took off her.

I know nothing about this record except:

1. I completely trust the releases of the Sublime Frequencies label
2. She seemed particularly sad to be parting with this one, so I had to find out why

Super nice packaging. Mine is pressed well and sounds really good. A great record if you like a little mysticism mixed with you industrial noise. Some of the bass notes sound like they draw enough power to dim the lights if I was foolish enough to really crank it up.
