i think it’s the same AAA Rhino remaster that’s been kicking about on black vinyl for a few years. I have that black vinyl one and it’s a pretty exceptional press so if it is the same it’s win win, same exceptional press and a nice pretty colour. Oh yeah, it’s also one of Van the mans best albums too

The agutierrezb 2019 record collection challenge

So I've decided to embark on my own personal challenge, which consists of listening every record in my collection before the end of the year. My record collection is not that big -only ~250-, but I still feel like there are a bunch of records I don't give enough attention to, while still adding more titles to my shelves.

For this reason I've set a couple of rules in order to play every record at least once before December 31st: I'll play at least one record a day, going from front to back in the way I have them sorted in my shelf. I can play a different record (i.e. Not the next one in alphabetical order) if I feel like listening to something else in any given moment, but at least one of the records I spin in the day has to be the LP in turn.

I didn't take pictures for the first two days, but I'll try to document the process from here on, so I'll be posting daily on this thread. Wish me luck!

Don't throw stones at me (pun intended), but I don't get the hype for this album. I like it, but I think it's not the best in either artist's catalogue. Maybe it's a kind of "you had to be there at the time" situation.

About a month before coming across this on VMP I was browsing through Discogs for this album and crying at how much it would cost to own one. Then one day I randomly opened up the VMP site and saw it for sale. Instant purchase.

Is this a good pressing? Is it widely available?
Mine is terrible - 2008 Capitol Vaults. Muffled and weak. At some point I want to get a copy I actually would enjoy listening to.

Analogue Productions rarely fails. This one is excellent.

If you really want to get the best of the best the AP Mono 45 RPM is hard to beat.
