I’ve always thought the original side 1 of that was the most perfect 1st side ever

Fun fact ..it was sequenced by Kirsty McColl .. when asked by bono how she did it after the band had found it so difficult , she said “I put my favourite 1st , my second favourite 2nd and so on ...”

Yeah I’d heard that, her husband at the time was either the producer/engineer and she was in and around all the sessions. It is a perfect side 1 but the problem with that is that even on such a strong album it means that there is a drop off in quality as you go on. Throwing all the singles/good songs at side A & B is a very U2 trait throughout their career too lol!
 
Duke - Genesis. One of the jewels in their crown. They are probably never as good as this again. Real super mix of classic prog stance and pop sheen. And also has Turn It On Again, which personifies this album’s mix of tricky time signatures and melodic strangeness which somehow results in catchy magic.
