Bought this five months ago without having giving it a whirl until now. From local label Moon Glyph, this record harnesses a playful folk energy with the expected comfy textures of a ambient/new age piece. Lovely.

Rafael Toral - Spectral Evolution
One of my favorites from last year, certainly top5 ambient. Sounds EXACTLY like the cover. An atmospheric beaut, illustrating the interconnective worlds of nature and humanity. These dissonant drones in tandem with birdsong provide a takeaway of an unquestionably organic slice of art.

This is new to me and I absolutely love it. Looking into it further and it looks like it was released on Jim O’Rourke’s Moikai imprint which makes a lot of sense given the music.
