I have two different starter words that I alternate each day. They are very close to the same word, just one letter is different. I’ve never gotten it in one guess, usually it takes me 3-4, but there have been a few times it took all 6.
my strategy is to eliminate or confirm vowels and go from there. When I get a vowel or two correct, my next guess tries to determine placement and other likely consonants

Didn't post yesterday, as for first word, I would jump around at first but eventually settled on a starting word. My wife and Mom have both got it in one with different words so I'm sticking with my starter until it is finally the word!
