Ok I’ll admit it - I had no idea this album even existed until I saw this all over this forum a few months ago. Not really sure how I didn’t even know about it all these years, but I felt *extra stupid* when I got to Coconut on my first listen. What a great album!

Thanks for posting, I splurged on one. Only $69 after shipping (nice) which is much better than anywhere else I’ve seen.

Yes that guy really messes with 2x speed when he is on.

But i am 54yo and only so much time left in the world. I ... don't... want... to... waste.... it.... waiting.... for... his... next.... word. At least he doesn't use annoying sound and visual effects like a morning radio dj.

Oh man. Listening to it for the first time on MoFi must have been a trip. I've liked this album for forever. One of my best friends' dads growing up was a big record collector and he was always introducing us to music like this. We must have listened to Coconut thousands of times on car trips hah.

My wife doesn't believe me about the preorder times because every time I have something show up I say it's a preorder (I'd say 75% of them actually are...). And with things backed up with USPS, she's going to murder me because I have 7 packages all set to arrive on July 26th now.

I put mine on recently and noticed a lot of the surface noise people complain about on Side B. Other than that, that pressing really does shine.

It was one of the first LPs I ever bought, probably back in 08/09. Had no idea it was such a highly regarded pressing until about three years ago when I really started to collect. Still sounds phenomenal despite the bit of noise I’ve encountered.

I only found out about it a year or two ago after my crush on BoomBoom started haha. And by then the prices were real high.
