Right. I don't think either is a red. But Mane's was at least in line with defending yourself when going up for a header.

There’s an argument with Mane. He’s caught an opponent in the face with force. And we’ve seen in the past that it can have bad consequences. It’s a foul alone if inadvertent, ie jumping together, because as you say you need your arms to jump. Because he’s led with his arm and he’s running towards him it’s always going to be a yellow. It’s not a red because his eyes were on the ball, he didn’t swing his arm and you need your arms to jump. Had he either glanced towards the Chelsea player or swung his arm back VAR would have had it upgraded to red.

To even remotely compare an actual hard physical context to zero force, zero danger bit of petulance is beyond a joke.

Also, example of of force, albeit a bad one. But I think you knew that.
 
What a goal by Kovacic! I think that tops Salah’s even! And then a great goal by Pulasic too. This match is absolutely fantastic. Chelsea have been by far the better team but Liverpool have the better players up top. A draw so far is probably about right and I can’t wait for the second half.

Our middle is so poor though that Chelsea can easily exploit it, outside of Fabinho. Henderson's form has been pretty bad this season. Milner is serviceable today at least. I think it's only a matter of time before Chelsea take the lead.

I agree. Part of my qualms with him is he’s inconsistent and injured. I think he needs a consistent run of games to show to quality but you need to not be injured to keep playing. So it’s a vicious circle for him.
