It doesn’t feel like a good deal for Vancouver

Why is everyone assuming he is the 3rd coming? Lot of teams betting big on him sees risky. Personally haven’t followed much on him other than is Worlds performance this year, so I am more than likely ill-informed.#BailingForBedard

As for Horvat any rumblings if he was unhappy/wanted a trade?

As for Horvat, Canucks couldn't meet his asking price of 9$M per and they didn't want to lose him for nothing in the off-season.
I’m not sure we blame the sweaters here.
Maybe abolish the F’n stupid ass blackout agreements and it might help.

Shocking. I like that ESPN+ is cheaper than NHL.tv but the actual broadcast TV schedule is THE. WORST. NBCSN was soooo much better in terms of turning on to watch a game.

I forgot to use my sarcastic font in case that wasn’t clear. But yeah, I agree with all that. Still dropping 22% viewership is still brutal.I’m not really shocked. Hockey will always be niche in this country. No singular network is going to grow the game. Especially a game that is so expensive to play and a salary that doesn’t come close to the other major leagues.

I still suspect ESPN picked up the NHL not because they wanted it (except maybe to bulk up the app), but yanking it would effectively starve out NBC before they got to be a threat. They just didn’t have a lot besides hockey, Premier League and some golf. Financially they were already hurting, but losing the rights had to carve a bloody chunk out.
