The St. Louis Blues have traded Vladimir Tarasenko to the New York Rangers, reports Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli.

The details of the swap are not yet known.

Tarasenko, 31, is a pending unrestricted free agent. He is playing out the last season of an eight-year pact with a cap hit of $7.5 million.

He was taken to hospital and released following testing. He is considered day-to-day.
