Doesn’t SheerID check to fall that you fall into one of those groups…hah. That’s the whole point of itThey do here too. It's just funny that they're pretending to honor healthcare and military workers and lump in an equal discount for students, while at the same time having zero checks to make sure anyone falls under the appropriate group for the discount code.
Not serious people.
I mean...I guess, if they actually use it. I haven't used any of these codes but I'm guessing it's still a resounding "doowhuchyalike".Doesn’t SheerID check to fall that you fall into one of those groups…hah. That’s the whole point of it
I haven’t listened to them, but what makes them a hard listen? I thought about getting a copy, listening once, and then sending it around.Listening to the comedy store things on streaming at the minute as I have swapped for it. This is a HARD listen. I think I’m going to ask to swap it again for something else.
Just not finding it very funny. Like Richard Pryor comes on and it is electric but he’s only 5 minutes. Jim Carey’s part here is mostly sight jokes which does not work at all. Some of it is very dated in style and content. Give it a listen and see, but I’m wondering if I would get £40 for it from the second hand shop. On the other hand I also grabbed the gospel box and have really liked these albums. If I’m not going to play something I don’t need to be buying it I think.I haven’t listened to them, but what makes them a hard listen? I believe you get an individualized code after sending documentation that verifies you fall into one of those categories…that’s the point of SheerID.I mean...I guess, if they actually use it. I haven't used any of these codes but I'm guessing it's still a resounding "doowhuchyalike".
Ah, see I missed the part where those are sheerid links. Assumed they were randomly firing off promo codes again.I believe you get an individualized code after sending documentation that verifies you fall into one of those categories…that’s the point of SheerID.
They’re paying for a third-party validation service just so they can move more overpriced LPs?(Which are probably partially overpriced so they afford stuff like a third-party validation service to offer discount code?) Such a weird company…I believe you get an individualized code after sending documentation that verifies you fall into one of those categories…that’s the point of SheerID.
I mean this was in reaction to their community going "YOU KNOW PEOPLE ARE GOING TO ABUSE YOUR CODE, RIGHT?"They’re paying for a third-party validation service just so they can move more overpriced LPs?(Which are probably partially overpriced so they afford stuff like a third-party validation service to offer discount code?) Yeah - I mean, maybe it makes sense if this is always in place? Or a one time thing for the sake of optics? I get why they did it, but I don’t “big picture” get why they did it I guessI mean this was in reaction to their community going "YOU KNOW PEOPLE ARE GOING TO ABUSE YOUR CODE, RIGHT?"
They seem to be doing pretty fine…considering they funded an entire record pressing plant that is only going to be pressing their own records. They’re paying for a third-party validation service just so they can move more overpriced LPs?(Which are probably partially overpriced so they afford stuff like a third-party validation service to offer discount code?) Venture capital will keep many an unprofitable company afloat for many years. It is a weird system this capitalism. They seem to be doing pretty fine…considering they funded an entire record pressing plant that is only going to be pressing their own records.
They had said SheerID was always the plan prior to doing those last coupon codes for vets and first responders but it just wasn’t in place yet.
Sure. But people have said they are gonna go out of business for like 5 years now. I just don’t see it. It’s not some liquidation because they are going bankrupt. To your point about just having a Veterans Day sale—They had a Veterans Day sale and then at least one other 40% off sale.Venture capital will keep many an unprofitable company afloat for many years. I agree the optics on this is just weird. I mean, the idea is to get more stuff sold. Just have a veteran's day sale. I'm just not sure I want to go through a back ground check for a discount. There is enough of my data out there with folks who don't really need it, you know what i am saying...
Yes. LolSure. But people have said they are gonna go out of business for like 5 years now. I just don’t see it. It’s not some liquidation because they are going bankrupt. To your point about just having a Veterans Day sale—They had a Veterans Day sale and then at least one other 40% off sale.
They can want to sell stock and also wanna give a discounts to students, vets and healthcare professionals. I just find it weird people seem annoyed that they are offering discounts. First VMP is stupid for doing a discount code anybody could use. Now VMP is stupid for giving a code that requires validation. Seems like whatever they do, a bunch of people will crap on it.
Fair enough lolYes. Lol
I don’t think they will go out of business. I do think they will eventually sell to Sony or WEA and over time their quality, uniqueness, and customer service will continue to slowly degrade as their prices continue to rise and at some point some VP looking to consolidate things in an attempt to raise stock prices will discontinue the brand and cut jobs but by then no one will really give a shit anyways.Sure. At this point, I assume it will be Craft. I assume they are just waiting to see if the press is worth having.I don’t think they will go out of business.
