What if you eliminate the writer and basically the musician and let a machine take over?

You get a royal "Fuck you, RCA" from Lou Reed that actually turned out to be a groundbreaker in forming industrial music...

Norman Bates: "We all go a little mad sometimes, haven't you?"

CHVRCHES - Screen Violence

The album title, and tracks like "Violent Delights," "Final Girl," and "Good Girls" all draw inspiration from the subgenre Psycho helped pioneer.

All around the world everywhere I go
No one understands me no one knows
What I'm trying to say
Everywhere I go no one understands me

These guys had a couple other charting hits in their native UK, but in North America, this was their only charting hit. A really good one, it’s a shame it only barely cracked the top 20.
