Vinyl Me Please Essentials

Not sure about other people who've received their copies, but mine had two prominent skips during "Here Today, Gone Tomorrow" and side 2 had so many skips that gave up less than a minute into the second song because it's unlistenable.

If this is a pressing wide situation, perhaps some people dodged a bullet in their disappointment.

Got shipping notice on a replacement, so we'll see...

yea--i think the numbers counted toward billboard have some specific criteria and are not total album sales from VMP. they are trying to get their numbers counted fully i believe toward billboard charts. i also bet it sold way less than 20k. VMP seemed a little disappointed in how it sold IIRC. they thought it would sell more but I think having the 33 be available (and this being not one of her most popular albums) may have affected their sales.

And if you're. a full on money no object audiophile there's a 2x45 one step on the horizon. If you wanted to avoid the obvious choices I'd have gone for the 90's/00's return to form albums, great, never on vinyl and the reissue program is still a couple of years away from them.

No more overseas subscribers but also our records all come from overseas. Interesting..........
Can you imagine the cost if the pressing plant were to drop ship to individual retail customers on top of shipping the wholesale shipment to the customer warehouse?

No manufacturer will do this. They don't deal with retail.

Now, if you expect VMP to create a European warehouse (ignoring for this discussion the clusterfuck of Brexit) to hold and ship a relatively small number of titles - handle returns - logistics - etc. - as well as the domestic warehouse, which adds shipping costs as the shipment has to be split into two - dream on. That will make the cost of a single title even more disconnected from reality.

I think it’s more the irony of the situation than him suggesting it as an actual solution.

Also VMP do not do logistics, even domestically, they’d use a third party for warehousing and distribution. The obvious solution would be Northern Ireland given its unique position as almost being both in and a out of the EU at the same time.

January is broadcast tender buttons..

the back of the magazine is a pic of trish keenan and its a 2005 album
Excellent album. The issue is this album is readily available and their label, Warp already does a great job on vinyl releases, so you can already get an excellent copy of this album relatively easily for half the price of a VNP subscription.
