THEY’RE NOT EVEN MENTIONED IN THE USELESS WIKI PAGE @avecigrec LINKED!!!They dominated it for sure.
It's just not a very informative article, but they are mentioned in passing here. I love what Daevid Allen did in his career with Gong and solo, but the Soft Machine stuff is not something I'm nearly as familiar with other than a listen or two. @LeeVing might be able to give more of an overview on this than I can.THEY’RE NOT EVEN MENTIONED IN THE USELESS WIKI PAGE @avecigrec LINKED!!!
Seems to me I listened to this quite a bit a while back. This album is the shit imo.
God I loved those Rock Family TreesCaravan is good stuff.
To be honest, I really don't get into what "scene" bands come from. They usually have a certain sound that appeals to be though. I do love Gong, Caravan, Soft Machine...those are the big 3 of the scene.
And then you had the solo work of some of the members of these bands. Steve Hillage and Kevin Ayers seemed to release some pretty popular albums on their own compared to the bands they were in.
You can try to follow this -- but like I said...incestous

Wait is this a series or something? Cause this is right up my alley.God I loved those Rock Family Trees
I agree. I had fun listening to this one last night. It's got flavor.I like this (yes the cover is terrible). But if this doesn’t make you boogie a little, something is wrong with you.
Huh?It became Radiohead’s breakthrough album in the United States.
