Question about the $2,500 IRS 1099K seller limits for 2025.

Let's say, hypothetically, you've sold in the past on Discogs and eBay and never met the threshold for platforms to send you a 1099K. Now, I understand that even if you're not issued a 1099K you're supposed to TECHNICALLY still report it on your tax return. Let's also say, hypothetically, you choose not to report it.

But let's say this year you decide to sell and may hit the limit collectively but not from any one platform. For example, as far as I know, eBay does not process through PayPal at all, while Discogs does. So, if collectively you bust the number but not on any one of those payment platforms (PayPal via Discogs and eBay), you should still not get a 1099K (i.e. as you've kept it under 2.5K on each)?

I am (hypothetically) trying to be smart about my selling dispersal among those platforms. Am I missing anything?

There won’t be enough irs agents (or irs at all) by the time you file for 25 for them to remotely figure any of that out.

Maaaaaan, my backlog of not-yet-on-Discogs records is growing. I might be taking records on vacation despite there being no records where we are staying, just so I can get these up!

...two are new releases that I'm sure will get there eventually, one is an older local release that isn't up, but most of the players are. The final one is a Japanese compilation—this one is daunting!

I have three that aren’t in Discogs, two from last year and one from this. Just can’t be bothered.

I kinda enjoy creating entries. It’s fairly easy and there is minors sense of accomplishment that follows. It’s the same type of feeling I get when I admire my freshly trimmed lawn.

I love doing them, just haven't had time lately.

(We'll, the Japenese one I've had for a decent while yet, but it's been very intimidating because most of the text is Japanese)

I like making a new entry for a release - I hate taking pics, though. I'll do it and have uploaded quite a few, but I don't like it.

I've made about 400+ subs and uploaded 1400+ images since 2009 when I joined. Some have been merged and/or disabled over the years, but I've at least uploaded what I own that wasn't in the database as far as I can tell.

I don't usually do much other editing of submissions I don't own - as I like to have the release in hand when doing any edits...unless some user has pissed me off, then I tend to get a little petty.

I hate taking pics because it takes time just to have someone else disable them with pretty much the same quality. I rarely add images to new submissions. I'll wait a while to see if anyone else will do it - most of the time I'll have to disable some douchebag's web images, but I don't mind doing that. I'll eventually add some images if none have been added...or if they really suck.

If I’m taking time to do the entry then I’m knocking out the pics too. Probably only takes me 5 minutes + a little cropping. Most phones are taking high pixel density photos these days, so unless you’re Michael J Fox, it comes out looking crisp. Very few of mine have ever been disabled (about 1300 images since 2014).

Looking to add my VMP test pressings to discogs. Copied the VMP entry to draft but was unsure of what info to remove/add?

B-side runouts are slightly different to the entry for the main release (have to go check to see if it's the same as the wide release and there was a mistake in the original entry).

Otherwise, do I remove most credits aside from GZ, RKS/JNH, and exclusive retailer VMP?

Heres the main entry for reference:

Did you get both disks for that one? Or just one of the mixes?
