For these orders from the past week did you all pay for direct shipping? I just did normal free bundled shipping, but an in-stock item, so no idea when it might ship or if it would “wait” til April.
I have $36 of store credit so will give this a shot. I also have some amount of account credit but haven't figured out how to apply it to a one month sub but dk t want to risk paying then asking for it to be applied after as they clearly have no cs left. You can cancel in your account without emailing. I don't remember exactly what the options are, and I'm not going to sign up again to redo it, but they're on the left side of the screen on your account page where you can see your upcoming record. I think it may be "edit" next to "Membership." Clicking that button allows you to change your membership length or (using a button near the bottom of the window) cancel.
You're only able to edit your membership for the current month while swaps are open. If you join after the swap window passes, you're billed instantly (or at least that's how it used to work). But while swaps are open, you're signing up for next month, and they don't bill you until the first of the month--though they go ahead and give you the membership benefits of member pricing and bundled shipping.
If you have membership credit, I think that’s automatically applied when they bill you on the 1st. If you cancel before then, you won’t use your membership credit . . . but you also shoiuldbt be charged.I have $36 of store credit so will give this a shot. I picked my April record and used most of my credit to pick up the Marshall Allen album which is listed as in stock. I just kept it as my normal bundled shipping so they should both ship with the April shipment. For these orders from the past week did you all pay for direct shipping? I’m excited to get it. When I was looking for things to use my VMP credit on I streamed his album and really liked it. I’m a jazz noob so I’m just learning about him and his amazing career. He now has a couple of Guinness world records for oldest person to release a debut album and oldest person to release an album of new material! 100 Year Old Jazz LegendThat Marshall Allen album is great.
I think Broadcast is just a color variant of the last release right?I forget what the general vibe of it was around here, but I received Broadcast's The Noise Made By People in the 35% off sale and it looks/sounds great. Probably my last "new" purchase from VMP, and a solid one to go out on, imo.
In other news I got shipping for my dongs and dunts, but after the extremely disappointing test pressing results, I'm kind of dreading what I'll find in the box.
Here's what I did - signed up for one month and "swapped" to the Back to In Person bundle. Then I placed an order for an Aretha record I was missing (using my remaining store credit plus $4 cash) I have $80 account credit so that will pay for my one month, I'll either let the remainder go or see if there's a sale before the month is up to burn it.If you have membership credit, I think that’s automatically applied when they bill you on the 1st. Ideally, you’d be able to convert your membership credit to store credit before placing an order in the store. But I’m guessing the request might take a while to go through. If I was in your position, I think I’d make a purchase in the store to use up store credit, and if I had to use a little cash for the purchase, I’d email them to convert my membership credit to store credit and retroactively apply it to that purchase. They’ve refunded me in the past for retroactively applying credit to an order.
Ooh. Jaga Jazzist! I didn't know VMP did anything with them. I discovered them in Japan back in 2014. My wife and I went to a vinyl bar/British pub and that's what was playing at the time.somebody on a discord i'm on got this unreleased VMP classic, but only one of two LPs. if anybody gets the second one, lemme know so we can try to reunite them somehow!

It's for an "upcoming" unreleased Classics so doesn't look like VMP ever will officially do anything with themOoh. Jaga Jazzist! I didn't know VMP did anything with them.
It depends on how far it got in production and how long VMP has left...It's for an "upcoming" unreleased Classics so doesn't look like VMP ever will officially do anything with them![]()
Alls I'm saying is I wouldn't hold my breath on it.It depends on how far it got in production and how long VMP has left...
From what I've heard, 8ball is probably dead. Jaga Jazzist is probably the last MAYBE if VMP makes it a few more months somehow. El Malo was far enough in production that it should come out. Joe Bataan should come out. NWA shoudl come out. Budos is a maybe. Who knows with some of the other preorders...
Well many of those were on preorder for a long time and already have copies produced. Storf posted a video of Joe Bataan in the jacket already on his IG a month or so ago.I'm assuming none of it is happening until they open up orders again.
