This is my first challenge, and yes, I’m intimidated after seeing such creativity. My daily prompts are not related to just one specific theme, they’re more of a mish mash, so I decided to try to connect them in some other way.
A mish mash – defined as a mess, hodgepodge or jumble. Jumble is a word puzzle, so I’m going with that. In each daily prompt, there will be a highlighted letter – that letter will be used to unscramble the jumble puzzle posted towards the end of the month.
Anyone who submits the correct solution to the puzzle (in spoiler tags or via pm, please) will be entered into a random drawing for a prize (to be determined). In order to win, you must have posted at least once in this thread during the month. For each day that you post, you receive one entry into the drawing, so the more you participate, the better your chance!
Some prompts are aligned with the day of the month - feel free to post on your own time, there is no requirement to post day of. Also, we will be traveling to Atlanta at the end of the month to see Pearl Jam, so the drawing will take place upon our return, some time in early May.
Day 1 – Spin any artist’s / band’s debut record
Day 2 - It's International Guitar Month. Spin an album that includes a favorite guitarist(s) and if so inclined, tell us why they're a favorite.
Day 3 - Spin any album or artist with a three word title / name
Day 4 – Spin any artist, album or song that repeats a letter in its name or title
Day 5 - Today is 4/5 - spin a 45 or any record that is 45 rpm
Day 6 - Spin any splatter / marbled / split wax, picture disc or shaped vinyl
Day 7 - Spin any RRHoF artist that is already inducted, or has been nominated
Day 8 - Album / song / artist with geographical location in title, lyric or name
Day 9 - Spin a record released in the 90’s or in a year ending in 9
Day 10 - Spin an EP or 10” record
Day 11 - Spin an artist with an upcoming release you have on pre-order. Or, spin any record that you pre-ordered.
Day 12 - April 12 is RSD! Show us your haul or spin any RSD release from any year that you own
Day 13 - Spin any Best of / Greatest hits comp
Day 14 - Spin a recently discovered artist / band
Day 15 - It’s tax day in the US. Spin any record or song that mentions taxes or money / finances or a record on the IRS label
